Overview:
In this seminar, Rachel Napear will discuss the role of social media in generating marketing interest, as well as the recessions influence on social media’s growth in marketing. Through the use of specific case examples from the private sector, Professor Napear will analyze the effects of social media and how it has shaped marketing over the past several years by focusing on its low startup costs, vast audience and limitless potential. Additionally, she will elaborate on how the economic downturn has boosted social media’s presence in lieu of traditional marketing venues, such as print and television advertising.
