"Strategies for Managing Risk in the Supply Chain"

Overview:
Every business faces risk. Global expansion magnifies these risks for today's business leader. Are you prepared? Do you have comprehensive strategies for managing risks across far flung supply chains? This one-hour seminar will explore the use of practical tools that can be used to manage global supply risks.

The Impact of the Recession on the Supply Chain

In this session we will examine of the effect the global recession has had, and will have, on the supply chain. The presentation will look at changes in sales volumes, inventories and capacities all along the supply chain, from Retailers to Manufacturing, including the impact the recession has had on transportation providers, the all-important link between the supply chain echelons. We will review the Bull Whip Effect and look for evidence of it in the data. And we will discuss what we should expect to see coming out of the recession, including cautionary steps to avoid getting 'whipped'.
